What if there are no "terrible" events from the past, so you have nothing to "float" over and travel past? My anxiety just comes on abruptly and I feel like I can't breathe and I may have a heart attack. I'm never thinking of "bad" events from my life when this occurs, it just occurs!!! No matter how much I try your technique, it doesn't work because there are no specific thoughts or events running through my mind, the anxiety is just kinda there. It will come on all of a sudden when I'm busy doing something and my mind is completely pre-occupied. Or it can kinda build up also until I feel like I will no longer be able to handle it. But,in any event I'm positive it's sparatic and not derived from certain negative thoughts or events. It may be just stress in general. So, what is a person to do when that's the case? Your "fool-proof" cure will not work without a certain thought or event triggering the anxiety because you don't know what to place in that time line to try to get past. Do you see where I'm coming from? Do you have any advice for someone like me. Please help me if you can. I've tried everything from drugs to yoga. Nothing works! If you have any advice for me I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi Mark, this is very useful, well presented information and I'm going to try it. I have had success with visualization but your video really clarifies exactly how to do it. It really helps to have exact steps and it's very generous of you to give this information out free. I have free floating anxiety as well that I'm still working on getting rid of. Maybe visualizing simply not having the general anxiety that isn't based on anything will help. The info you give on having worries from having learned to have them is really good to know as well. Thanks very much, I like your site and music very much.

Hi Alice,
I do believe over time we can reset our amygdala to "normal" whatever "normal" is. In the modern world where we are constantly bombarded with bad news from the media it takes a continuous, persistent effort to weed out the external influences as well as to monitor and take charge of the internal process that has been "set" to react so powerfully.

thanx so much for your question!

Mark, I like your website and your description of negative thinking on the
highway was hilarious. But, I want to know if these techniques will "re-set
the amygdala to normal vs. high alert and so allow the body to rebalance itself.
I have mcs and as I look back on my life I realize that I have had stress and
high anxiety most of my life.
